Sacred Heart PS is located right beside the Church of the Immaculate Conception - indeed so close are we that we see the church as being a natural extension of our school. Our school chaplain, Fr. Michael McCaughey, is a very regular visitor to each classroom and is a very important part of our school community. We have a class present at each morning Mass and the whole school also join with the local community to celebrate each First Friday Mass. In addition, we participate in Sunday morning celebrations twice each month. We believe fully in the link between home - church - community - school and believe that our commitment to our church typifies this. |
