The heart is an organ made of muscle. It pumps blood around the body. The circulatory system is the way your blood flows round and round the body. The arteries take the blood, full of oxygen and energy (food) to all parts of the body. Veins take used blood back to the heart where it is pumped to the lungs to collect oxygen and the whole process begins again.
