Anti-Bullying Week We had a very successful Anti-Bullying Week as we raised children's awareness of the damage that bullying can do to people, regardless of age. We had a full School Assembly on Wednesday 18th November in order to get across the message, to live and work together in peace and harmony. We have recommended children of the need to tell if they feel under pressure and have informed them that they can speak to their teacher, Mr Thompson, Miss Funston or Mrs Dempsey.

Christmas Events 5th Dec - Open morning in OCPS 8th/9th Dec- Junior Christmas Concert at 2.00pm Admission at door (P1-P3) 17th Dec - Evening Carol Service at 7.30pm in First Omagh Presbyterian Church (P4-P7) 22nd Dec - School closes at 1.00pm for years 3-7. P1 and 2 available from 12.45pm

Coats As we encourage our children to take exercise at break times it is important that each child should come to school with a coat. Please ensure that coats are named.

Christmas Performance This year the Junior Christmas Concert takes place in the School Assembly Hall on Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th December. Admission of £2.50 payable at door. The Seniors will perform a Christmas Carol Service in First Omagh Presbyterian Church on Thursday 17th December, commencing 7.30pm. There will be an opportunity for the congregation to donate to a chosen charity. Please do support these seasonal events.

Nursery News The Nursery is now up to full complement with all the little ones well settled and enjoying new experiences. Jo Jingles will start visiting in December and no doubt later in the month, all will enjoy the visit of a very special person as he makes his seasonal call.

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal Many thanks to all who contributed to this worthy appeal and thanks also to Mr Billy Dempsey who shipped all boxes to their collection point.

Breakfast Club Just to remind you that the Club continues to operate throughout the Winter. It goes without saying that ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day’.

School Closures Please note that school will close early Thursday 17th December at 1.00pm. (P1 and 2 at 12.45pm) School term finishes on Tuesday 22nd December at 1.00pm. (P1 and P2 at 12.45pm) Happy Christmas Everyone! The new term starts on Tuesday 5th January 2010.
