A very warm welcome to Loreto Convent Primary school website, which aims to give you an insight into the life and work of our school. Our school aims to provide a Catholic education, which seeks to foster the growth of the whole child and to help them to realise their unique God given potential. Our caring staff is dedicated to providing a sound education, in an atmosphere where Christian values are clearly lived and where the growth of the whole child is fostered. Loreto Convent Primary School is a wonderful, happy place where all the members of our school community work together to provide the best

possible education for the children in our care. We offer pre-school facilities for boys and girls from 2 yrs.10mths - 4 yrs and a single sex education for girls from Yr. 1 -Yr. 7. All staff adopt a child-centred approach and provide a stimulating learning environment, where a spirit of enquiry and enthusiasm for learning is cultivated. The children are offered a broad, balanced curriculum and can avail of a varied programme of after-school activities. Our pupils have excellent opportunities in the area of music, with weekly lessons in singing, tin whistle, piano and orchestral instruments. We have a very successful school choir, who have won UTV School Choir of the Year and many other competitions in the local community and beyond. We enjoy very positive lines of communication and support from our parents and encourage them to play an active role in their child's education.
