Langfield Primary School is located in Drumquin County Tyrone. It is a purpose built Controlled School which has been on this site since 1954 and the current buillding was opened in 1991. It admits boys and girls aged from four to eleven. It is set in its own grounds in the village of Drumquin. The school seeks to promote a friendly caring atmosphere and parents are always welcome to visit the school. Parents, relatives and school staff work together for the benefit of the children.

The staff, with the support of the parents, are always working to improve the environment of the school and many trees and shrubs have been planted in the grounds. A pond and nature area have also been developed to enhance the outdoor learning environment. In the last year the school has had an outdoor activity centre built onto the playground. This has added to the four recycled plastic picnic benches and orienteering course already at the school.

The school has three spacious classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, their own working space, toilets and a cloakroom area. There is also a large, well resourced gym which is also used as the dinner hall and for concerts and fund raising events. There is also a large resource area that is used by all classes which houses a school library, computers, computer desks and chairs, in addition to an interactive whiteboard.

The school also has a wide variety of indoor and outdoor games and equipment which is used during free play, break and lunch times by all children.
