About Us
St Francis of Assisi Primary School, Drumnabey is located in rural Spamount. It
was built in 1915 and consisted of one big room split into two with a stove at
each end. In 1958, the Key Stage 2 classroom was added on.

Later in 1961, the dining room, kitchen, toilets aand cloakrooms were built. In
1995, oil central heating was installed in the school. In the year 2000, a new
office was built. The mobile classrooms arrived between the years 1995 and
1998.

Our school was known as Drumnabey P.S. until June 2009. Due to our close
links with the parish and the church the BOG added Saint Francis Of Assisi to
the name in preparation for September 2009.

Presently there are 32 pupils and 2 teachers - Mrs. Keira McCallan and Mrs.
Deirdre Baxter. Mrs. McCallan has been Principal since September 2007
