Gibson Primary School is situated in a quiet residential area
off the Old Mountfield Road. It shares a site with Omagh
North Nursery School and is just across the road from Omagh
Leisure Complex.

The school has been in existence for just over 30 years and
has recently moved into a new building costing £3.3 million.
The 'new' Gibson opened in September 2003 and provides
excellent facilities for the 430 pupils currently enrolled. This
covers the full primary school age range of 4 -11 years and
includes a Speech and Language Unit which provides
specialist help for pupils with speech and language
difficulties. A new pre-school Speech and Language Unit,
partly funded by the children's charity Ican, opened in
September, 04.
