Home/School Contact
The teaching staff actively encourages parental contacts with the school. The parents' support is essential in working
with the school for the child's benefit. This school attempts to foster parental relationships in various ways such as
invitations to Masses, concerts, plays, and meetings, participation in schemes such as Delta-programme, Paired
Reading, and Fund Raising events as well as informal contacts at the beginning and end of the school day. More
formal contact is made in the annual progress interviews with the class teacher. Parents may contact the Principal
about any matter at any time when the school is open. However this should as far as possible, be out of teaching
time to keep class disruption to a minimum.

Homework
During the school term homework is normally given to all
children each weeknight i.e., Monday to Thursday. Written
homework is not given at weekends in Key Stage 1 except
in special circumstances i.e, preparation work for the
sacraments, for tests or work needing to be completed
urgently. In addition children are encouraged to read books
at home and books are available in the school for borrowing.
The school would welcome parental support and encouragement
in both areas of homework and leisure reading.

Pre-School Delta Programme
Parents of children starting Primary One Class in September are invited to attend a pre-school programme for weekly
evening meetings during the summer term. Parents will have an insight into their child's early learning experiences
and to avail of useful advice on parental involvement to ensure a good start.
