The School Day
The day begins at 9.10 am. All children have a supervised break-time in the
middle of the morning, when a small snack may be eaten. ( See healthy
eating policy) Lunch break is from 12.30 to 1.15. Reception children finish
their school day at 12.30p.m. and must be collected at this time. The P.1.
and P.2. children finish their school day at 2p.m, and should be collected at
this time unless they have opted for the paid supervision, which is in place.
P.3 - P.7 children finish their school day at 3pm although occasionally
children may not leave until a few minutes afterwards if there are clearing up
tasks to complete.

Attendance
All children should attend for the 190 days, which, the law requires unless
they are ill. Children's attendance is recorded daily. If a child is absent a note
explaining the child's absence must be recorded in your child's homework
diary .

If a child is coming to school late a message would also be useful, as he/she
may be marked present. This is particularly important if your child has a
school meal.

We request that parents inform the class teacher by letter if your child has to
leave school early for any reason.
Uniform

School uniform is preferred. It is particularly important that children wear sensible footwear, whether indoors or out.
Boys: Navy trousers
Navy Sweatshirt
White shirt
Navy and gold striped tie

Girls: Navy Skirt
Navy Sweatshirt
White blouse
Navy and gold striped tie.

No particular supplier is recommended and parents are advised to shop around the various chain stores. Ties and
sweatshirts may be purchased through the school.

P.E. Kit
Children are expected to bring suitable clothing for P.E and games. All children should have a pair of trainers and a
pair of shorts or tracksuit bottoms at school for P.E lessons, as well as a suitable top (i.e a T-shirt).
Older children who go swimming should provide swimming costume, towel and a swimming cap, if appropriate, on
days when swimming should take place.

Names on Clothing
If children are to arrive home wearing the same clothes in which they left, ALL items of clothing including coats and
ties should be labeled with the child's name.
